One God

One God

Monotheism is a claim of most of the major religion of the world, some religion that doesn't seem to be monotheistic claim that they are and these thousands of different kind of images of gods and goddess are of same one God.

Whats such a big deal about one God? How this concept of one God better than 10 or 100 gods?

Why is God hell bent on saying again and again there is one God? What does this God get out of this being one and so lonely?

If you think deeply these questions are very valid, if there is one God he knows he's one then this one God who is so great doesn't need to tell us that he's only one because it shouldn't bother him if the human worships cow or a goat as he's only one its not a big deal.

This one God is all powerful and all knowing why should he care if this petty human thinks there are 100 other gods, even if so which God is him out of these 100?

But its true that God has clearly said he's the only God and one God, when Roman's wanted to win a fight they would please the God of war, who would help them in battle and give them victory, does this apply to this single God?

If God of war for Roman didn't even exit why should real God be upset with people?

Problem is we fail to understand the true meaning of one God, one God does not signifies God being one, because God isn't a thing that could be counted, if this universe is separate from God, then there is this universe and there is this God, two different things, something that exists away from God different from God, how is this possible logically?

The concept of one God had to come up because you can't have two rulers for one country, its not that these rulers will fight each other, maybe they love each other and have no problem with both of them ruling same people, problem will be with laws.

One ruler may consider driving on right side of the road legal while other might be in favor of driving on left side, this will not only cause traffic jams but accidents and problems. Thus is not a problem is there are 2 rulers but its a problem if we have 2 set of different conflicting laws. This is where concept of One single God comes into picture. He is one because he gave us laws to be followed and he is the only one who's laws are to be followed.

If people of country follow set or rules the country will surely succeed even if the laws in the country are not as good as another country where people do not follow the good laws.

Claims:

Every religion claim to be monotheistic but amazingly none is Jews follow one God but they don't follow anything from Torah, Christians claim to follow Jesus but they do nothing like Jesus everything they do is display of their own will, Muslims claim to be follower of one God but they have made mini gods to compete with the God with books of Hadith and self claim ideas like Shirah which has nothing to do with God but everything to do with people in power.

There is no major difference between ideology of all these major religions of the world.

All of them ask you to be righteous, all of them tell you not to do wrong things, all of them tell you not to hurt others for no reason, all of them tell you that follow God only. Yet a Jew can't stand a Muslim, a Muslim hate Jews, many Jews were killed in name of religion in Europe by Christians and so one. If we follow one God then we don't have any problem, main issue is we don't follow one God but we follow gods.

God ask you to come to common terms so that you could live in peace.

3:64 Say: "O people of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: that we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not from among ourselves Lords and patrons other than Allah." If then they turn back say: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's will)."

What is so special about "people of the Book"? Because they are people who have got the law, one law of one God, for those who follow polytheistic religions don't really have any written law.

Thus most important thing for any person in this world is to follow the laws a person who claims to be religious has to follow the law, doesn't matter what law it is, if its a law of a country it has to be followed even if you don't like it. Yet I see most of the laws are broken by those who claim to be people of God, how can you people of God when you don't follow the law?

Big Gods

Biggest God of today is Money it has always been like this not much has changed, but before children use to be with parents and listen to them not anymore. Everyone in the world is just running behind money they would do anything for this money, even sell their soul to Satan if they can.

So #1 god of the world is Money. Then there are many mini gods that could be bought and sold using this big god.

God in Islam has asked Muslims to do Salah, which is a major part of Islam.

What is Salah? Ask any Muslim and he'll tell you its something we do 5 times a day, for this one God who doesn't need our payer who has no needs.

So Salah is going up and down on ground for God who has no need for it? Surly not!

Salah is making link to God, you do it with Ibadah (service), no not the one thats done in Church every Sunday. Then what is this service?

This is a service of following the law of God, assuming I work for XYZ and I'm suppose to serve him, if I talk to him 5 times a day telling him how great he is and thank you for salary you give me every month, while I don't follow anything he asks of me? How many month will this guy tolerate me and pay me my salary for telling him something he already know (that he's great)? A month or two?

Similarly God doesn't need you to give him this service, he wants you to do what he has asked you to do, this is why he's gonna pay you, not because you talk nice. Thus Salah means to make link with God by doing what he has asked you to do, but few men of religion do any kind of service to God, all the do is talk about him and say how great he is and then they go home and make their own laws and make mini gods to compete with law of this GREAT!

Do not make gods to compete this God follow his laws, do not follow laws layed down by Mr. XYZ if you can, then why do Muslims not follow Quran, Jews not follow Torah and why not Christians not follow Jesus? I assume just because they don't know or they follow who ever teaches them.

Conclusion:

5:47 Let the people of the Gospel Judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed they are (no better than) those who rebel.

5:48 To thee We sent the Scripture in truth confirming the scripture that came before it and guarding it in safety; so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed and follow not their vain desires diverging from the truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have We prescribed a Law and an Open Way. If Allah had so willed He would have made you a single people but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute.

5:49 And this (He commands): Judge thou between them by what Allah hath revealed and follow not their vain desires but beware of them lest they beguile thee from any of that (teaching) which Allah hath sent down to thee. And if they turn away be assured that for some of their crimes it is Allah's purpose to punish them. And truly most men are rebellious.

So lets read what our God has sent us and follow his commandments so we may succeed in this life and hereafter.

Thank you
